Riaz Khandwala retired early from banking to explore his passions in what he considers to be the final, Act III of his life. Post banking, Riaz did a brief but memorable stint as a trainee detective constable with the Metropolitan Police London, took flying lessons to reimagine his childhood dream of becoming a pilot, set up a property letting business, and devoted time to understand the psyche of fear, greed and mania in the financial and property markets.
He discovered a latent love for painting after enrolling in a Basic Drawing and Painting course at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi. Largely self-taught, he developed his techniques by reading books and watching YouTube videos. He also attended a course on Creative Life Drawing at the Central Saint Martins London.
