Pythagorean philosophers considered numbers to have metaphysical potency.  Seven represents growth, process, and harmony. A number in perpetual motion. Curiously, when divided into the preceding integers, it divides infinitely, rendering the same continuous sequence of numbers:

/7 = 0.142857142857142857….

/7 = 0.285714285714285714….

/7 = 0.428571428571428571….

/7 = 0.571428571428571428….

/7 = 0.714285714285714285….

/7 = 0.857142857142857142….
